If you have not heard, the Marian building is closed off and the power has been turned off.
I have the JoCall room and one classroom available for us to use for this Wednesday meeting.
Not sure yet which room we will have it in, just come to the Jo Call room for 7:00 meeting. We will have someone in there letting you know where to go.
It’s election night and our final meeting of the year, come out and elect your new officers and close out our year.
Just a reminder…our annual Year-End banquet is June 28th at Stones River Country Club. It should be a very nice evening. We are trying to get Bishop Choby to join us, and our Knights State Officers should be there too. Come out and enjoy a fine evening and good food. Best of all, no JoCall room, setup or cleanup. Just a night of fun for all!!
Invitaions have been sent out and you should have it already. Get your RSVP to me by the 14th. We need to have a accurate number for the food order. So walk-ins and late requests will not be accepted and seating is somewhat limited, so get your RSVP back to me immediately.
Due to the construction that is in full force at St. Rose, the power has been disconnected to the Marian Building to prepare for the new PreSchool wing addition. It will be disconnected for about a month until the new transformer is set in place. New meeting locations will be arranged, we will keep you posted.
As our fraternal year is getting close to the end, we have a few things to finish out another fine year for the council. First, last week was the State Convention and again we are one of the more recognized active councils in the state. It really says a lot for our group and the great support that we all give. At our next meeting, we will conduct another First Degree Exemplification. I know we just had one but we have 4 more new members ready to join us. The second meeting in May will be our annual ‘Summer Skills Challenge’, hosted by John McNicholas. This is always a fun evening and, of course, John always has those great prizes to give away. Elections are the first meeting in June and this is always an important process to the Knights organization and our council as officers for the coming year are nominated and voted in position. Finally, the year end banquet is June 28th at Stones River Country Club. Invitations will be out in a couple of days, so be sure to get your RSVP back if you plan to attend. We have limited seating, no walk-ins will be able to join us, and you must pay in advance. So be looking in your mail, you should see something real soon.
So as we wrap up things for this year, it’s sometimes thought of as a slower time for us, but there is still a lot going on. So come to the meetings and support the council and especially our new members. Hope to see you there!
Vivat Jesus!
